What Is ITATM therapy?

ITATM is a trauma-specific therapy model that layers both physical, emotional, and psychological aspects, including sensory processing, art, breath work, somatic therapies, embodied awareness, toning and movement, bilateral stimulation, resource installation, parts work integration, and amygdala reframing messages. It was created by Lori Gill, Founder and Clinical Director at Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing (ATTCH).

This type of therapy can help people dealing with trauma in a range of ways. It can allow you to:

• Reduce physical, emotional, and psychological tension
• Decrease symptoms of depression, dissociation, and anxiety
• Process anger and stress
• Build better daily life skills
• Maintain better emotional regulation
• Reduce high-risk behaviours, such as self-harm, suicidality, and addiction
• Increased ability to experience emotions in a stable manner
